Some historical background notes on this piece

For many years Li and Susie Pearce hosted an annual party at their home and studio on the edge of Slough. These became a regular annual fixture and were attended by many friends and clients. The material from this piece covers a party after H2G2 indicated by the characters appearing in it like Kevin Davies, Theresa Whatley, Shirley Brown, etc. The latter 2 joined Pearce Studios after H2G2.

There is an invitation designed and made by Kevin Davies which looks as if it was for this particular late summer party. S it's likely that this party was on 5 September 1981 - 8 months after H2G2 was completed.

Lionel Pearce was sadly gone by this time but he did manage to meet very many of his friends at a very similar annual party just before his departure in 1979.
