A340 - The Challenge Met
In 1991 these graphics extracts from a 20 minute programme were produced on 16mm film using the same system employed first in 1985 on the 3D animations for "Max Headroom - the movie". Vector images were sent one frame at a time from a Prime mini computer to an instrumentation display under a rostrum camera also controlled by the computer. Colour was achieved by multiple passes of the film with the computer controlling a filter wheel under the lense.
