Assembly of two photolith film top lit exposures made from the paste-up of strips cut from the paper prints. Two negative exposures were made and assembled as a short cut to filling the screen area as a final step towards camera artwork. The photo contact exposure made from this assembly was used with colour lighting gels and back-lit under the rostrum camera.
These pieces of photolith look as if they were not "fixed" very well at the time and have deteriorated over the intervening 30 years. Probably the chemicals in the processor were worn out and needed renewing. It is impossible for me to judge if this deterioration has gone as far as it's likely to or if the clear areas will continue to get darker.
