Rotring pen drawing by Rod Lord on 330 x 280 mm animation cell.
3 layers of cell fixed together with masking tape. Top 2 layers contain facial features and chin.
This was to allow the main outlines to remain constant while the mouth and chin moved for a repetitive talk motion
and the expression could be changed.
These cells were photo contact exposed onto photolith film for clear lines in solid black for further stages towards camera artwork. |
