A collection of Rotring pen drawings by Rod Lord on 330 x 270 mm animation cell from which the final camera artwork was photo contact exposed.

1 - Two layer composite taped together with masking tape. Positive photolith of the main head outline and facial muscles plus the eye as a separate layer Rotring pen drawing on cell.

2 - Three Rotring pen tracings on animation cell - the outer head outline, the inner hair line and ear and eyebrow and eye.

3 - Five Rotring pen tracings on animation cell - mouth and jaw line positions for speaking.

4 - Five Rotring pen tracings on animation cell - inner mouth and facial muscle positions for speaking.

5 - Four Rotring pen tracings on animation cell - outer head outline for pulsating brain.

6 - Two text positives Letrasetted onto 330 x 270 mm animation cell.

These formed the second step of development towards final camera artwork. These positive Rotring pen drawings were photo contact exposed onto photolith film to achieve clear lines in solid black for use with a colour lighting gel for back lighting under the rostrum camera.
