1 - Pencil layout drawing by Rod Lord on 305 x 255 mm animation key paper.
2 - Rotring pen tracing by Rod Lord on 330 x 270 mm clear animation cell and painted on the back. This was used with a colour lighting filter gel and masked around with black card for one back lit camera exposure run. The outline of Arthur Dent was painted in solid black after being contact exposed onto photolith film for clear lines in black. This was used for a separate back lit exposure run but has not yet been found. 3 - Photolith text strip. "YOU'RE VERY TALL" as clear letters in solid black and Sellotaped onto 330 x 270 mm clear animation cell. This was used with a colour lighting gel and masked around with black card for another back lit camera exposure run. 4 - The camera "dope sheet" covering this section of animation. |
