It may seem strange to jump to episode 6 but I just came across a fairly complete entire sequence.
It seemed logical to start with the storyboard which consists of 15 frames on 2 pages.
Storyboards were certainly not presentation items as they often were for other projects. These were very skimpy and the first hasty stab at roughing out how the screen time might be filled to fit the supplied voice over. Working out the actual details of the layout was gradually evolved and refined during the next step of layout and key drawings, and further still with pen tracings onto cell. This storyboard deals with the sequence that begins with Ford Prefect's theory relating to a strange human behavioural pattern and goes through the Belcerebons of Kakrafoon Kappa. I notice that on the storyboard they are noted as BALCEREBONS while in the final artwork the text reads BELCEREBONS. |
