2 - Layout drawing by Rod Lord for Arthur Dent full figure in pencil on 420 x 330 mm tracing paper. 3 - A photolith 260 x 280 mm of Arthur Dent head with clear lines on solid black made by photo contact exposure in the dark room from a Rotring pen drawing by Rod Lord on animation cell. This photolith was originally registered to match the black on clear tracing by Sellotaping in place onto a strip of punched 35mm film. After 30 years the Sellotape has become brittle, lost its adhesion, and this item has now lost its registration strip. I have not tried to repair anything. This was used with a colour lighting gel and masked around the sides with black card to back light under the rostrum camera. 4 - The 5 pages of camera "dope sheet" for this section of animation. |
